Ingrowing Nails

Ingrowing nails can be a painful condition which occur when the side of the nail inbeds itself into the surrounding skin.  Bacterial infections sometimes occur due to an open wound making the area even more sensitive and inflamed.

Nail surgery is a routine procedure which involves partial removal of the problematic nail carried out under local anaesthesia.  It is customary to return to the clinic for re-dressing and review to monitor healing after the procedure.
